Board of Directors

Board of Directors' Job Functions:

Executive Director will attend board meetings, make executive decisions, coordinate research, apply for grants and handle the setting up of autism camps and educator training.

Board Members will attend board meetings, assist in making executive decisions and aid in handling the administrative tasks of the foundation.

Executive Director:

Brenda Smith Myles Ph.D., professor of special education at the University of Kansas, co-director of the only master's program in Asperger Syndrome in the country and author of more than 15 books in the field of ASD.

Keith Myles Ph.D., professor of management at Rockhurst University and owner and president of Autism Asperger Publishing Company.

Ronda Schelvan holds a Master's Degree in special education, 20 years experience working in the Kelso Washington School District with special needs students and co-author of The Hidden Curriculum: Practical Solution for Understanding Unstated Rules in Social Situations.

Kirsten Sneid holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and is the former president and founding member of the Johnson County Kansas chapter of the Autism Society of America. She is also the mother of two children with ASD.

Kirsten McBride holds a Master's Degree in English, has 25 years of association management experience in the non-profit sector. She also has nearly 30 years of editorial experience mainly with special education materials.
